The Rubin book on Clarisworks explains how to use the Appleworks software we are using for both the Graphics and Database assignments. You did not have to purchase this book but some of you may be very interested in reading the appropriate chapters. This is highly recommended, especially for the Database assignment.
This book is on reserve in the libraries (both Alexander and LSM) and also should be available in the LRC. It is listed under the instructor's name - Kathleen Goelz - for our course 198:110 Introduction to Computers and their Applications. (To be clear, it is not under my name.)
If the links below do not work for you go to the library site and do the search directly. The libraries make much of their reserved material available on-line and so I have linked to the appropriate webpages here to access the graphics chapter, the five segments of the database chapter and the chapter on mail merge (which is also a part of our database assignment.)
Please note, if you are accessing these pages from the Rutgers computer centers, you must not abuse the posted printing policy or your accounts can be taken away. Some of these chapters are very long and thus you should not print them in the labs. Instead, either read the material directly on-line or visit the libraries and make photocopies of the materials there.
